Mrs Babra Sithole

Mrs B. Sithole is the Kusile RDC Social Services Officer. Under Mrs Sithole's supervision are projects all around Lupane designed to improve access to health, educational, and recreational services of the people of Lupane.

Department core functions

The core function of the social services department is to:

• 1.restore impaired social functioning,
• 2.provide resources for more effective social functioning,
• 3.and prevent social dysfunction.

Social services encompass anything that provides services to assist the overall social well-being of people. The department supports the basic needs of children, families, older and other adults, including persons with disabilities. It also formulates policies and plans, develops and enriches existing programs and services for specific groups, such as children and youth, women, family and communities, solo parents, older persons, and Persons with Disabilities (PWDs).

Responsibilities

Social services rests on values like equality, social justice, and empowerment. These values also form the base upon which the service delivery system of social services is based.

• 2. Solid waste management.
• 3. Provision of social amenities.
• 4. Provision of working areas for micro business.
